Active listening: key to success in work teams.

In my work as personal and business coach , I meet teams that face a common challenge: the lack of effective communication . Many times, this situation is not due to a problem of skills, techniques, but to something simpler and more deep: the absence of active listening .

Did you know that much of the conflicts and misunderstandings in work teams arise because we don't really listen to others? You may be thinking: "But I do listen to my team." However, the listening > Understand, process and respond conscious and empathic .

What is active listening and why is it so important?

Active listening is a skill that goes beyond simply hearing words.

It is an intentional act that implies paying all our attention on the person who speaks , interpret their ideas and emotions and respond in a way that feels understood.

In the work team, active listening not only improves communication, but also contributes to a more collaborative environment and less conflictive.

When team members feel heard, they are more likely to share innovative ideas and creative solutions without fear of being ignored or misunderstood.
